Big Thief have released their new album Double Infinity, recorded live over three immersive winter weeks at the iconic Power Station in New York City. With minimal overdubs and a focus on live interplay, Double Infinity captures the spirit of collaboration in its rawest, most human form. Longtime Big Thief collaborator Dom Monks produced, engineered, and mixed the album, further grounding it in the band’s signature warmth and intimacy.
Each day, the trio braved frozen rides across the Brooklyn Bridge, cycling between boroughs to meet in the studio’s warm, wood-panelled room - a space that became the heart of the project. Joined by a close-knit community of collaborators, including Alena Spanger, Caleb Michel, Hannah Cohen, Jon Nellen, Joshua Crumbly, June McDoom, Laraaji, Mikel Patrick Avery, and Mikey Buishas, the group tracked together in real time, improvising arrangements and chasing spontaneous moments of discovery.
Following the US leg, the band will bring the tour to Europe and the UK next spring, with some of the biggest headline shows of their career to date.
