What is it about PRESIDENT that has earned such a dedicated legion of followers right from the release of their first ever track? Certainly intrigue at their sudden and unexplained addition to the Download Festival 2025 billing, slow drip feed of teasers and choice to remain anonymous have kept interest high but as a series of tracks have slowly been revealed over the summer, intrigue has turned to immense fervour to hear more. 

Surrey progressive punks DARKO are back with a blistering new EP titled ‘Canvas’, out 18 July via Lockjaw Records. This final piece in a trilogy of conceptually-linked EPs - alongside Greyscale (2024) and Sparkle (2022) - sharpens their signature blend of high-velocity punk, technical precision, and post-hardcore experimentation.

Released on 13 June 2025 via SBG Records, Temporary High by modern metalcore band Archers - Nathanael Pulley (vocals), Ben Koehler (guitars), Oscar Porter (bass), Grayson Mesarosh (drums) - doesn’t waste time. It hits hard, leans into atmosphere, and pulls zero punches. Clocking in at just under 17 minutes, the five-track collection shows a significant evolution from their earlier post-hardcore roots into a more refined, emotionally charged metalcore sound.
