Acclaimed rock trio Against the Current have officially launched into their next creative chapter with the release of their long-awaited third studio album, Till Death & Back. Spearheaded by the powerful focus track 'Ashes to Glory', the project seamlessly blends the band's expanding alternative sound with intensely intimate reflections on destiny, personal growth, and the defining moments that have molded their journey.
Produced under the executive direction of Against The Current’s own Will Ferri, Till Death & Back sees the group partnering with an esteemed roster of producers including Erik Ron, known for his work with Panic! at the Disco and Godsmack, alongside Josh Gilbert of Spiritbox, Morwell, and Josh Saldata. Together, they have delivered the band's most unified, uncompromising body of work to date. Throughout the release, the trio examines the delicate push and pull between affection and heartbreak, raw exposure and resilient resistance, alongside the past incarnations of ourselves that must be abandoned to step forward.
Positioned as the core of the album, 'Ashes to Glory' embodies the record's overarching themes. Reflecting the broader narrative of endurance and renewal, the focus track captures the vivid contrast between collapse and rebirth while addressing the grit required to emerge from trial. It serves as a cornerstone within a project that fully honours both the price of evolution and the perseverance needed to forge ahead, offering a profound statement on survival.
The LP arrives following a series of pre-release singles, including 'Heavenly', 'Always You & I', 'Dead Man Walking','Protégé', and 'White Noise', which each offer a distinct angle on the core concept. 'Heavenly' captures the magnetic spell of an almost supernatural romance, while 'Always You & I' paints a picture of devotion that defies time and circumstance. In contrast, 'Dead Man Walking' dives into the battle for survival and the unsettling experience of feeling like a stranger to oneself. 'Protégé' shines a light on the intricate web of influence, dynamic power shifts, and relationships that shape an individual's character. Meanwhile, 'White Noise' enriches the emotional depth of the record by confronting inner restlessness and the quest for peace in the middle of chaos. Combined, these tracks weave a rich tapestry moving fluidly between passion, confrontation, and the potential for rebirth.

LISTEN TO 'ASHES TO GLORY'
“Fate is the thread running through every song on this album, the belief that what's meant for you is bound to you across time,” says frontwoman Chrissy Costanza. “The cost is the fire, the fight, the version of yourself you don't get back. Till Death & Back is the promise that no matter how far you go, the thread never breaks, not even in death.”
Ever since stepping onto the alternative music scene, Against the Current have built their reputation on a refusal to remain stationary. Transitioning from their early pop-punk roots toward an increasingly broad alternative soundscape, the band has continually reinvented themselves while preserving the deep emotional resonance that connects with fans worldwide.Till Death & Back marks another major milestone in that progression, driving the trio deeper into a distinct artistic domain that is entirely their own.
Instead of retreading the foundation of past eras, Chrissy Costanza, Dan Gow, and Will Ferri lean into dynamic contrasts, combining grand, cinematic arrangements with vulnerable songwriting and authentic sentiment. The outcome is a collection that feels deeply personal while leaving ample room for listeners to project their own experiences onto the narrative, discovering their individual stories within the songs.
In tandem with celebrating the official release of the album, the band are launching straight into their headline tour of the UK in support of the record, bringing these new tracks to stages across the country.
