AGAINST THE CURRENT UNVEIL NEW SINGLE
Acclaimed alternative rock trio Against the Current has unveiled their anthemic new single ‘Always You & I,’ which stands out as one of the more cinematic and romantic moments from their upcoming studio album. The track leans heavily into the record’s overarching themes of love, fate, devotion, and the profound journey of finding something that feels completely constant through every shifting version of life.
Speaking on the inspiration behind the song, frontwoman Chrissy Costanza shares, “‘Always You & I’ is about a love that transcends time, a soulmate that is destined across every lifetime. It’s about finding that person who is so certain and familiar that meeting them feels like coming home from the very first moment. They are the answer to every question; until the very end of all things, it was always them.”
Following the release of their darker track ‘Dead Man Walking,’ which explores heavy themes of survival and unfamiliarity, the band has now unveiled the official music video to accompany it. The cinematic visual was directed by their long-time collaborator Ryan Valdez, the creative mind behind one of their biggest videos, ‘Weapon,’ from their acclaimed fever era.
In addition to the new visual content, they have announced an extensive seventeen-date tour across the UK and Europe for this Autumn. The upcoming run of shows will see them perform five distinct dates across the UK, culminating in a headline performance at London's iconic O2 Shepherds Bush Empire, before the trio officially makes their way across the channel to the European mainland.
