Progressive rock titans Arcane Roots have officially broken cover to announce their biggest headline show to date, set to take place at the spectacular Here at Outernet venue in central London on November 11th, 2026. Elevating this monumental evening even further, the band has curated a stellar supporting lineup featuring two of the UK's most exciting rising acts: Manchester's alternative powerhouse False Advertising and Leeds' innovative newcomers Love Rarely.
Fans looking to secure their spot ahead of the crowd can access the artist presale on May 27th, with an exclusive access link being distributed directly to the band's official mailing list and their dedicated Discord members (you can join up - HERE). Following this early window, the remaining tickets will be released to the public for the general on sale on May 29th.
This massive London event follows hot on the heels of the recent announcement of two warm-up shows ahead of the band's highly anticipated summer appearances at 2000trees and ArcTanGent festivals. With those warm-up gigs in Milton Keynes (4th July) and Brighton (7th July) now completely sold out, this newly announced November date will officially stand as the absolute last and only chance to see the band live in 2026. Consequently, this monumental performance is very much a 'must be there' event for all fans, new and old alike.
In tandem with this major live announcement, Arcane Roots have also unveiled plans for a special new ‘Wave, Across The Sea’ EP, featuring 3 completely different, alternative endings to the original ‘wave…’ single. This project will arrive as a special Bandcamp-only release on June 24th, and the band has confirmed it won’t be available on any traditional streaming platforms. However, if you want to hear the tracks before that official date, fans can get their hands on the first track right now, 'A Wave, Across The Sea [Hands Of God]'. This track will be delivered as a free download sent directly to each person who purchases an advance ticket to the band’s Here, Outernet show. A second exclusive track will then be made available on June 10th to anyone who is actively signed up to either the band’s Discord server or their mailing list.
Earlier this year, Arcane Roots sent shockwaves through the music community by releasing their first new music since 2018 in the form of the single 'A Wave, Across The Sea'. The track is a stunning six-minute masterpiece that never sits in one place for too long, brilliantly showcasing the full range of dynamics and breadth of musicality that people have come to expect from Arcane Roots over the years.
On the newly created alternative versions of 'Wave, Across the Sea', singer and primary songwriter Andrew Groves offers a deep dive into the creative process:
"A Wave, Across The Sea was one of the very first collaborations between Bjarni & myself. Long before any notions of Arcane Roots returning, it emerged in fits and starts, inevitably surviving pandemics, elections, protests, lockdowns, earthquakes, childbirth and numerous volcanic eruptions. So you can forgive me for thinking, while bobbing along on our volcanic little ice cube in the North Atlantic, that it almost felt as if all the worlds’ monsters were suddenly emerging from the murky depths society had long banished them to, while we experienced the very real throws of a deeply disgruntled earth; bucking & spewing it’s mantle onto a bed of moss & lichen."
"It is quite an outer-body experience to feel the ground moving beneath your feet, something that I feel would humble even the sturdiest of bipeds. Growing up in the UK, I was fortunate enough to not have to experience most of natures scariest turns but it soon put into perspective just how futile our existence is against the forces it employs. Thematically, this brought forward a concept; if we all felt something strongly enough, could we bring it into physical existence? We’re all aware of the ideals of spreading peace & love throughout the world but what if that feeling was one of division instead? If we all felt truly indifferent towards the ‘other’, could that somehow create some sort of physical impact? We’re all aware that extreme stresses & strong emotions can present as physical illnesses on the human body, so with a little more volume could that extend even further? To one another? To our surroundings? To the earth? Each ending explores these as a different choice. A split in the narrative, for you to explore as you will."
