CORELLA RELEASE NEW SINGLE

Manchester’s outfit Corella, has unleashed their blistering new single, ‘Rewire’, the first track to arrive under their new partnership with FLG.

Produced by the Grammy-winning Jason Perry (noted for his work with The Molotovs, McFly, and Don Broco), ‘Rewire’ is a formidable rock anthem. The track rides a current of soaring guitar riffs, relentless percussion, and a thunderous bassline, providing the perfect foundation for frontman and guitarist Joel Smith’s commanding, snarled vocals, which take direct aim at the political discontent currently sweeping across both sides of the Atlantic.

Reflecting on the inspiration behind the track, Smith explains: “A lot of people are so vulnerable, especially in the UK; it feels as though they’ll believe anything that gets put in front of them. This song came out of our frustration from simply observing that people have maybe been ‘rewired’ to think a certain way, but also encouraging them to flip that on its head, to challenge the status quo.”

The single has already proven to be a powerhouse in a live setting. Having debuted ‘Rewire’ during a summer of festival appearances across the UK and Europe last year, Corella has seen the track’s momentum surge throughout early 2026. This growth is evidenced by their current UK tour supporting the Kaiser Chiefs, a position secured after the headliners personally handpicked Corella following a scorching main-stage performance at Kendal Calling.

‘Rewire’ signals a distinct evolution for the band as they enter 2026 with a newfound ferocity and sharpened sense of purpose. By refining their formative indie influences into something razor-sharp and aggressive, the band has tapped into a darker, high-voltage sound. Like lightning in a bottle, this Northern powerhouse is poised for an explosive year.

This release marks Corella’s first new material since their 2024 debut album, Once Upon A Weekend. That record achieved significant success, smashing into the Top 5 of the Independent Breakers Chart and reaching the Top 20 across the official Album Sales, Physical, and Vinyl charts.

With extensive backing from Radio 1, Radio X, and BBC Introducing—and an impressive tally of over 70 million streams, Corella has cultivated a dedicated following. This momentum has fueled numerous capacity headline tours across the UK and Europe, main-stage slots at festivals like Reading & Leeds, and high-profile support runs with artists such as Pale Waves, Circa Waves, and The Wombats.

As the band continues their trajectory, Corella is now officially gearing up for the release of their second album later in 2026, with further details expected to follow soon.
