DEATH LENS ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM

Southern California’s Death Lens, the quintessential punk band for the modern era, is back. The multicultural, working-class quartet officially announced their new album, What’s Left Now?, set for release on April 24, 2026, via Epitaph Records.
The news arrives alongside the album’s opening track, ‘Monolith.’ The song begins with a stripped-back acoustic intro and Spanish vocals before erupting into a whirlwind of anthemic howling and churning guitars.
Vocalist Bryan Torres says of the new song: “Born with stones in my hands, I carry the weight my parents left behind. Forged under pressure, hardened by everything I had no choice but to bear.” He continues, “Monolith is born from a lifetime of hardship, weight and repetition. It’s my revelation that the role life gives you isn’t the only one you have to play. A testament to how being born with nothing became the source of my strength.”
Produced by Zach Tuch (Knocked Loose, Touché Amoré), What’s Left Now? is the band’s most fully realized work to date, a "crunchy, urgent, and raging" follow-up to 2024’s Cold World. The record was forged during two years of intense upheaval. Following a grueling nine-month tour that saw their fanbase grow tenfold, the band faced interpersonal breaking points, resulting in the departure of two members.
However, Death Lens emerged stronger, welcoming guitar virtuoso Ernie Gutierrez into the fold alongside Torres, guitarist Jhon Reyes, and drummer Tony Rangel. As Torres exclaims: “Every time we feel like we’re gonna implode, we end up expanding. We thrive on stress and the energy of anxiety.”
Growing up 20 miles east of Los Angeles in lower-income households, Death Lens has never been a band of privilege; they are a band of the grind. What’s Left Now? reflects that honesty, tackling everything from the vulnerability of self-discovery to the terrifying political realities of their community.
“Our messaging is towards those who always feel like they don’t have a voice,” Torres explains.
While tracks like ‘Am I A Drug To You?’ and ‘Out of My Skin’ explore personal growth and relationships, ‘Saints in the Panic Room’ addresses the immediate threat of ICE raids.
“I’m talking about the ICE raids, things close to home,” Torres says. “Immigrant families who don’t have papers. These are the struggles that we talk about every day.”
