American singer-songwriter Demi Lovato has released a new song titled ‘Fast’, the first from her upcoming ninth studio album. Her first release since the 2024’s song ‘You’ll Be Okay, Kid’, the single marks Demi Lovato’s bold return to pop, following the edgier, rock-driven direction of her previous album Holy Fvck. The track signals a new era for Lovato - one rooted in high-energy pop sensibilities, while retaining the emotional edge she's known for.

Her upcoming ninth studio album will be executive produced by Zhone, a boundary-pushing producer known for his work with Kesha, Troye Sivan, and Charli XCX, suggesting a sleek, forward-thinking soundscape that blends emotional depth with sharp, modern production.

The singer released an accompanying music video alongside the track, showcasing a fiery, defiant visual to match the song’s intensity. In the video, she confidently struts through a dramatic scene lined with burning cars, exuding power and control amidst the chaos - underscoring the track’s themes of resilience and self-reclamation.

Lovato teased the track on social media earlier this month, building anticipation among fans before officially announcing its release. In a mid-July Instagram video, the singer and actress was seen lip-syncing to a snippet of the song’s lyrics, giving followers an early taste of what was to come and sparking excitement across her fanbase.
