New York rocker DES ROCS returns with a powerful new single, ‘This Land,’ featured in the opening sequence of the highly anticipated video game Borderlands 4, now available worldwide.

Borderlands stands as one of the most iconic and best-selling franchises in gaming history. For its fourth installment, DES ROCS takes center stage, delivering the explosive energy and grit that define his sound - joining the ranks of artists like Cage the Elephant and The Heavy, who set the tone for previous entries.

“I’ll never forget the first call when they told me what they were looking for in a song for Borderlands 4,” says DES. “I couldn’t stop grinning. They were describing exactly where my heart lies. Rock n’ roll that’s loud, raw, unfiltered, built for a foreign landscape. This song has that unhinged wild energy, the one I felt when I first picked up a guitar. It’s real and it’s rowdy, just like the music I worshipped growing up.”

DES ROCS is making waves not just in gaming, but on the big screen too. He recently recorded a fiery rendition of the Johnny Cash classic ‘Ring of Fire’ for the soundtrack of Nobody 2, the upcoming sequel starring Bob Odenkirk.
