FKA TWIGS ANNOUNCES NEW ALBUM AND SHARES NEW SINGLE

FKA twigs has announced her forthcoming album EUSEXUA Afterglow, a brand-new body of work arriving 14 November. Originally envisioned as a deluxe edition of her Mercury Prize–shortlisted album EUSEXUA, Afterglow has since evolved into a fully realized companion piece, complete with an entirely new tracklist. The announcement arrives alongside the release of her new single ‘Cheap Hotel’, paired with a Jordan Hemingway–directed video starring the Clermont Twins, as well as an official album trailer.

Released in January, EUSEXUA was a love letter to the techno rave scene and its transformative potential. Afterglowbuilds on that world, channeling the lingering sensations that follow the rave - the hours when the body has left the dancefloor, but the pulse, euphoria, and sense of release continue to reverberate within. The record leans into techno’s reverence while splintering its rhythms into fractured, derelict, and playful forms, serving as both a continuation and evolution of twigs’ vision. It’s a culmination of everything she has mastered across her catalog: the dancefloor devotion of EUSEXUA, the playful hooks of CAPRISONGS, the raw vulnerability of MAGDALENE, the sensuality of LP1, and the ethereal fluidity of her earliest EPs.

The album’s announcement follows a summer tour and festival run in support of EUSEXUA and its single ‘Perfectly,’ performed live at Primavera in Barcelona, LadyLand in New York City, and beyond. Just last month, twigs ushered in the Afterglow era in Seoul with an intimate listening session and a sold-out rave, where fans heard ‘Cheap Hotel’ for the first time.

The term EUSEXUA, coined by twigs herself, represents “the moment before an orgasm: pure nothingness but also pure focus in a state of eusexua” - a way of being she described in her April 2024 British Vogue cover story. Executive produced by twigs and longtime collaborator Koreless, EUSEXUA also features production from Dylan Brady, Eartheater, Ethan P. Flynn, G-Dragon, Jeff Bhasker, Nicolas Jaar, and more.

Upon release, EUSEXUA was met with critical acclaim, hailed by outlets including Rolling Stone, Billboard, Vulture, Variety, and NME. It earned Pitchfork’s Best New Music distinction, a New York Times Critic’s Pick, and has already landed on multiple midyear “Best of 2025” lists from Consequence, Rolling Stone, Variety, NPR, Vulture, Harper’s Bazaar, Stereogum, and Paste, among others.
