FKA TWIGS UNVEIL NEW SONG

Following last Friday’s GRAMMY® nomination for Best Dance/Electronic Album for EUSEXUA, FKA twigs unveils ‘Predictable Girl,’ the second single from her highly anticipated new album, EUSEXUA Afterglow, arriving this Friday. The seductive track is accompanied by a music video directed by Jordan Hemingway.

Originally envisioned as a deluxe companion to EUSEXUA, Afterglow has since blossomed into a complete project in its own right, a continuation of the world twigs built on her critically acclaimed album. In addition to its GRAMMY® recognition, EUSEXUA was shortlisted for the 2025 Mercury Prize for Album of the Year. Released in January, EUSEXUA served as a love letter to the techno rave scene and its transformative power. Afterglow extends that story, exploring the sensations that follow, the lingering pulse of the dancefloor, the euphoria that endures long after the night ends, and the intimate quiet of coming down while still feeling the music in your bones.

Rooted in the spirit of techno, Afterglow plays with distortion, space, and texture, its beats fractured yet playful. The album represents the full scope of twigs’ artistry: the dancefloor devotion of EUSEXUA, the buoyant hooks of CAPRISONGS, the raw emotion of MAGDALENE, the sensual confidence of LP1, and the experimental edge of her early EPs.

In September, twigs officially ushered in the Afterglow era with an intimate listening party and sold-out rave in Seoul, South Korea, where she debuted ‘Cheap Hotel’ and ‘Predictable Girl.’ On Halloween night, she brought the energy stateside, performing a teaser of the track during PC Music’s New York rave alongside PinkPantheress.

A word of her own invention, EUSEXUA represents what twigs once described to British Vogue (April 2024) as “the moment before an orgasm, pure nothingness but also pure focus.” The album, a “love letter to how dance music makes [her] feel,” was executive produced by twigs and longtime collaborator Koreless, with contributions from Dylan Brady, Eartheater, Ethan P Flynn, G-Dragon, Jeff Bhasker, and Nicolas Jaar, among others.

Upon its January release, EUSEXUA earned widespread acclaim from Rolling Stone, Billboard, Vulture, Variety, NME, and more, receiving Best New Music honors from Pitchfork and a Critic’s Pick from The New York Times. It has already appeared on several midyear “Best Of” lists from outlets including Consequence, Rolling Stone, Variety, NPR, Harper’s Bazaar, Stereogum, and Paste.
