FLORENCE + THE MACHINE ANNOUNCES UK AND EUROPE TOUR

Copyright: Autumn de Wilde

Florence Welch - the visionary force behind Florence + The Machine - has announced an extensive UK and European tour in support of her highly anticipated sixth studio album, Everybody Scream, set for release on 31 October.

Bringing her trademark magic and theatricality to the stage, Florence will perform across major venues including two nights at London’s O2 Arena, the Accor Arena in Paris, and the Tauron Arena in Krakow. Rising star Paris Paloma will join the tour as the opening act across all eighteen dates.

The album’s haunting title track, released last week alongside a cinematic video directed by Autumn de Wilde, offers a first glimpse into Florence’s new creative era. Written and produced by Welch over the past two years, Everybody Scream features contributions from longtime collaborators including Mark Bowen of IDLES - who appears in the video - Aaron Dessner, and Mitski.

Following lifesaving surgery during her Dance Fever tour, Florence’s recovery led her into a world of spiritual mysticism, witchcraft, and folk horror. Grappling with the fragility of the body and the complexities of healing, the album dives deep into themes of womanhood, relationships, aging, and mortality - illuminating the uncanny within the everyday.

Over the span of five critically acclaimed albums - Lungs (2009), Ceremonials (2011), How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful (2015), High As Hope (2018), and Dance Fever (2022) - Florence has cemented her place as one of the most iconic and influential artists of her generation. Her singular voice and transcendent live performances have captivated audiences worldwide, earning her chart-topping success, countless accolades, and collaborations with legends including The Rolling Stones, Lady Gaga, and Taylor Swift. In 2018, she published Useless Magic, a collection of lyrics, poetry, and sketches.

The Everybody Scream tour promises to be an unmissable celebration of Florence’s evolution as an artist - raw, spellbinding, and more powerful than ever.
