Blending the punchy riffs of J-rock, the spirit of indie rock, and the raw bite of pop-punk, Toronto’s wildly popular Good Kid have announced their long-awaited debut album, Can We Hang Out Sometime?, set for release on 3 April 2026. To celebrate, the band will embark on their biggest headline tour yet, spanning North America, the UK, and Europe.
Good Kid recently unveiled a visualiser for their second single, ‘Rift,’ while first single ‘Wall’ has already amassed over two million streams and an astonishing 125 million TikTok views from fan-generated content in its first week.
With four celebrated EPs behind them, the upcoming album follows a surge in momentum that has quietly positioned Good Kid as “the biggest band you’ve never heard of.” Entirely independent, they’ve accumulated more than 700 million streams across their catalogue, sparked multiple viral moments (including the GOLD-certified hit “From The Start”), built an audience of 2.8M+ monthly listeners, earned two JUNO nominations, including Breakthrough Group of the Year (2024), and achieved 183M streams on Spotify Wrapped.
Recorded in Los Angeles with Grammy Award-winning producer John Congleton (St. Vincent, Wallows, Lana Del Rey), Can We Hang Out Sometime? captures the high-energy hooks and inventive guitar work that define Good Kid’s sound, while pushing boldly into new creative territory. Longtime fans can expect signature Good Kid bangers alongside fresh textures, rhythmic shifts, and unexpected twists, the band’s grittiest and most adventurous offering yet.
“This record is the most unfiltered and uninhibited we’ve ever been,” the band shares. “There are many things on this record that are irreproducible, sounds and methods that made each and every take totally unique. We made some risky choices, so now we have to own them.” The result is a collection that feels bigger, rougher, and more emotionally bare than anything they’ve released before.
Beyond the music, Good Kid have become fixtures in the gaming and creator communities. Proudly calling themselves “the world’s most creator-friendly band,” they’ve made their entire discography Content ID-free and DMCA-free, giving creators across Twitch, YouTube, and beyond the freedom to use their music without fear of takedowns. Their songs have appeared in MrBeast videos (surpassing 300M views), Riot and Epic Games activations, Valorant broadcasts, and a vast array of community-made edits, animations, and livestreams. Meanwhile, their Discord has evolved into a collaborative universe of lore where fans don’t just engage with the band, they help shape the world around them.
That influence recently extended to the stage: Good Kid were invited to perform at this year’s Streamer Awards on December 6th at The Wiltern in Los Angeles alongside Ty Dolla $ign. Their set will be broadcast to millions across Twitch and YouTube, joining an impressive roster of past performers and digital-era disruptors including Bella Poarch, Yung Gravy, and BBNO$.
To mark the arrival of Can We Hang Out Sometime?, Good Kid will launch a major 2026 tour beginning 10th April, sweeping through key cities across the US and Canada before heading overseas for some of their biggest UK and European dates yet, including a headline stop at the Roundhouse in London.
