Following a string of high-profile EU/UK festival slots and recent support dates with metal icons Kittie earlier this year, alt-metal outfit Holy Wars have released a cover of ‘Hurts’ by Nine Inch Nails, following their stunning performance of the track at a church in Los Angeles recently.

2025 has marked a major turning point for Holy Wars, representing a clear “level-up” following the release of their breakout EP Cult Classic and label debut for Pale Chord/Rise Records in late 2023. This past September, the band joined Evanescence for a one-off performance at the Mercedes-Benz Amphitheater in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, alongside alternative-metal icon Poppy.

Earlier this year, Holy Wars crossed the Atlantic for a run of high-profile festival appearances across the UK and Europe, including Rock im Park and Rock am Ring in Germany, Rock For People in the Czech Republic, and Download Festival in the UK. In addition to their festival run, the band supported nu-metal pioneers Kittie on a string of club shows throughout the EU and UK.

“You never truly learn  who you are as an artist until you hit the road hard and this past year gave us a ton of confidence and clarity going into the future of this band,”says Leon.

Looking ahead, Holy Wars will join the lineup for ShipRocked 2026 this January, performing alongside Halestorm, Motionless In White, Knocked Loose, and recent tourmates Kittie, among many others. Fans can expect more exciting announcements soon, with new music and additional tour dates to be revealed in the coming months.
