MUDVAYNE DROP SECOND NEW SINGLE IN UNDER A MONTH

Just two weeks ago, 2000s hard rock heavyweights MUDVAYNE - Chad Gray (vocals), Greg Tribbett (guitar), Ryan Martinie (bass), and Matthew McDonough (drums) - electrified fans with their first new single in 16 years, ‘HURT PEOPLE HURT PEOPLE,’ released via Alchemy Recordings. The track quickly made waves, racking up over 500,000 streams and counting.

Now, Mudvayne is keeping the momentum going with the release of another brand-new track: ‘Sticks and Stones.’ The song arrives alongside a striking visualizer, with an official music video on the way soon. This back-to-back drop of new music marks a powerful and long-awaited return for one of heavy music’s most distinctive forces.

"I was always told “sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me.” Well it’s a great nursery rhyme but I couldn’t disagree more. I’ve carried a lot of words throughout my life as if they were just spoken to me. Reality is…they do hurt. I’ve tried my best to shed them, but when they come from dear friends, family - people that are suppose to love you. The words have teeth and they won’t let go. Blood doesn’t wash out, it stains. I think I’m just trying to remind people to love their children. Don’t use them as a bullet to fire into your ex or whomever you’re with now. They’re innocent and they are impressionable. And trust me as a child, that was used as a weapon, your words will hurt them…Long after you say them."

As Mudvayne charges ahead with new music, they’re also taking time to honor the legacy that shaped them. Their latest track arrives just as the band embarks on the 25th Anniversary Tour celebrating their groundbreaking debut album, L.D. 50.

Kicking off today, 11 September, and running through 26 October, the headline tour commemorates the 2000 release of L.D. 50 - the record that introduced Mudvayne to the world via Epic Records and established them as a dominant force in the hard rock and metal scene. The album eventually earned Gold certification, and its impact continues to resonate: both Revolver and Metal Hammer have named it an essential entry in the canon of 2000s metal.

The L.D. 50 25th Anniversary Tour features direct support from industrial metal veterans Static-X, with rising heavyweights Vended opening each night. This run marks a powerful moment of reflection and reinvention as Mudvayne looks toward their next era while celebrating the record that started it all.
