“Mr Overwhelm as a character is the manifestation of the anxiety, fear and hopelessness that comes with experiencing the world in its current dystopic state. The song explores both the realisation that the world full of promise and justice that you’re sold as a kid doesn’t exist, and the natural desire to retreat into fantasy as a result of that. It delves into anemoia - a deep nostalgia or a yearning for a time or place that never existed.”

This return to live music is particularly poignant, as NOAHFINNCE has spent the last year and a half away from the touring circuit to focus entirely on his writing. Throughout this period, he has maintained a transparent and incredibly honest dialogue with his audience about the financial hurdles and soaring costs associated with touring in the modern music landscape. In recognition of these hurdles, April brought the announcement that Noah was named a recipient in Phase One of the UK Artist Touring Fund, a vital initiative organized by the Featured Artists Coalition. Backed by the Musicians' Union and the Music Managers Forum, the UKAT fund provides crucial top-up financial support to artists, ensuring live tours can remain viable while breathing new life into the wider UK live music ecosystem.
The momentum behind Noah's career has been building steadily since the release of his widely acclaimed debut studio album, GROWING UP ON THE INTERNET, which arrived in early 2024 and was followed by a comprehensive deluxe edition later that same year. That triumphant collection introduced a series of powerful singles, including PET WITH THE TISM, an intensely personal track reflecting on Noah’s own autism diagnosis.
