SICK JOY ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM

Brighton project Sick Joy have officially announced details of their highly anticipated new album, More Forever, set for release on 30 January 2025.
Recorded in a remote studio in Spain with legendary producer Alain Johannes (Queens of the Stone Age, Mark Lanegan, Chris Cornell, Them Crooked Vultures), the album was later mixed by Josh “Hoagie” Harrison (Royal Blood, The Cure) and mastered by Katie Tavini. On this second full-length release, Sick Joy expand their gritty alt-rock foundations with industrial flourishes - think pounding drums, jagged synths, and a visceral lyrical edge that explores grief, love, systemic trauma, and survival through a lens of raw, poetic brutality.
The announcement arrives with the release of the album’s lead single, ‘All Damage’, available now on all major streaming platforms.
Speaking about the new track, vocalist and guitarist Mykl Barton shares: “Becoming aware of negative processes that were once subconscious, but still allowing them to rule. The persistent search for some chemical absolution for allowing the darkest parts of yourself to take the reins. Seeing the deep roots of these damaging, unsustainable coping mechanisms, but also still feeling a yearn towards them. The eternally aching dichotomy that’s been a constant my entire life.”
To celebrate the release of More Forever, Sick Joy will embark on a headline tour across the UK and Europe in early 2026. The run kicks off in Birmingham on 29 January and wraps up in Paris on 20 February. Full dates below:
