STATE CHAMPS RELEASE NEW SONG

Pop-punk heavyweights State Champs have dropped their latest single, ‘Common Sense’ via Pure Noise Records. The track bursts with the band’s trademark infectious hooks and driving guitars, while also leaning into a grittier, more aggressive edge that hints at the evolution of their sound.

Here’s what the band had to say about the release: “Common Sense brings out a slightly darker and heavier side to us while keeping the Champ’s integrity strong. Lyrically, it’s about completely investing yourself in someone while also being naive to the fact that you never had anything in common to begin with.”

‘Common Sense’ marks State Champs’ first release since their acclaimed self-titled album dropped in November 2024 - a record that signaled a bold new chapter for the band. Balancing growth with their pop-punk roots, the album delivered standout singles like ‘Light Blue,’ ‘Too Late To Say,’ and ‘Silver Cloud.’ It earned widespread praise from outlets including Rolling Stone, AltPress, Rock Sound, and New Noise Magazine, who celebrated its seamless fusion of Warped Tour-era nostalgia with a fresh, modern edge. Widely regarded as one of their strongest releases to date, the album cemented State Champs as true torchbearers of the genre.

This September, the band will hit the road across the U.S. with A Day to Remember and Yellowcard, followed by appearances at major festivals such as Four Chord Music Festival, Vans Warped Tour Orlando, Aftershock Festival, and the Emo’s Not Dead Cruise in January 2026.

They’ll cap off the year with a return to the UK this December, joining Don Broco for a run of massive arena dates:

2nd December 2025 – Motorpoint Arena, Nottingham

3rd December 2025 – Utilita Arena, Cardiff

5th December 2025 – OVO Arena Wembley, London

6th December 2025 – Aviva Studios, Manchester

7th December 2025 – Aviva Studios, Manchester
