Last Friday night Pale Waves took over a packed KOKO in Camden, bringing a fresh setlist, two fantastic support acts, and a sold-out crowd ready to tear the house down. A Pale Waves show is not your standard concert; it is truly an experience where anthemic alt-rock and unapologetic self-expression merge into one, where fuzzy guitars meet unfiltered singalongs, and every corner of the room just radiates pure queer joy.

Some albums become part of your DNA. For me, Jagged Little Pill wasn't bought with pocket money or unwrapped on Christmas morning. It lived in my older brother's prized cassette collection, tucked between Nirvana and Pearl Jam, and I distinctly remember waiting until he'd gone out before sneaking it into my Walkman. At twelve years old I barely understood what Alanis Morissette was singing about, but I knew it felt different. Dangerous, honest and thrillingly angry. Thirty-one years later, standing in Crystal Palace Park among thousands of people who looked like they'd grown up alongside those songs, it was impossible not to feel that same rush.

English rock band Pale Waves have just announced the ‘Still Smitten’ tour, taking place in October this year. The band is set to hit 13 cities across the country this fall, kicking off in Sunderland, England on 13 October and ending in Cork, Republic of Ireland on 30 October.
