TAKEDOWN FESTIVAL ANNOUNCE MORE ARTISTS FOR 2026 EDITION

Takedown Festival - the award-nominated celebration of rock and metal - has revealed the next wave of artists for its 2026 edition, set to return to Portsmouth Guildhall on Friday 3 and Saturday 4 April.

The latest additions further bolster an already stacked lineup of heavy music. Saturday welcomes Mouth Culture, the high-octane Leicester alt-rock collective renowned for their anthemic chaos, alongside Zetra, the enigmatic London duo weaving shoegaze atmospherics into metal theatrics, and Lastelle. Friday’s bill grows with the addition of South Of Salem and Asomvel.

This year’s festival will be headlined by PRESIDENT, who make history with their first-ever festival headline slot. The masked collective - hailed as one of heavy music’s most electrifying and unpredictable new forces - are set to deliver a career-defining performance at Takedown 2026.

Also topping the lineup are Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons, bringing decades of hard rock firepower and a very special Motörhead set.

Mouth Culture shares, “ Takedown feels like home - chaotic, loud, and exactly where we belong. We’re ready to leave our mark on it.”

ZETRA shares, “The countdown to Takedown begins. In April 2026, Zetra will return to the Portsmouth Guildhall. Expect the unexpected. Believe the unbelievable. The cycle starts anew. Zetra Loves You.”

Lastelle shares, “We're really excited to be back at Takedown this year! We were welcomed with open arms last year, so to be back again but on the main stage is definitely going to be one to remember.”

South of Salem shares, “We could not be more excited to be a part of Takedown Festival 2026! The event is always incredible and we cannot wait to bring our high octane horror show to that awesome stage. As massive Motörhead fans we are also buzzing to see Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons play their killer Motörhead set.”

Asomvel shares, “TAKEDOWN! ASOMVEL is coming for you! Honoured to be a part of the 2026 lineup, ASOMVEL has always been about loud, honest heavy rock, and that’s exactly what fans can expect from the show at Takedown 2026 in Portsmouth. See you on the Friday for an apocalyptic orgy of volume beyond human imagining!!!”

After an eight-year break, Takedown Festival made a triumphant return in 2023, headlined by Sleep Token and Skindred. Moving from its original home at Southampton University to the larger Portsmouth Guildhall, the festival has firmly re-established itself as a key fixture in the UK rock calendar.

Its comeback year was capped with major recognition, earning nominations for Best Small Festival, Best Metropolitan Festival, and the Grassroots Festival Award at the 2023 UK Festival Awards.
