WARGASM REMIX HIMALAYAS SINGLE ‘WHAT IF…?’

Cardiff rock band HIMALAYAS have collaborated with electro-punk duo WARGASM to remix their hit single ‘What If…?’. Intense and driving, the rework transforms the energetic rock original by twisting its vocals and riffs through pounding electro beats and searing synths, delivering a high-octane banger that channels the raw energy of The Prodigy.
As the lead single from their newly released second album BAD STAR, ‘What If…?’ served as an introduction to the record’s expansive sonic and lyrical landscape. Blending their signature powerhouse rock sound with introspective themes, the track sees the Cardiff four-piece confronting both personal and global issues, ultimately grappling with the limitations of individual influence in an unpredictable world.
“When the opportunity to work with WARGASM came up, it was a no brainer.’’ said frontman Joe Williams on the remix. ‘‘We really like what they do and it’s been awesome to hear their take on ‘What If…?’. The energy and feel of the remix really hits hard in the style of the original song and it hasn’t lost the groove which was a huge part in the original. The drops in the remix add so much to the impact of the song and paired with the more stripped back parts there’s add a real ebb and flow.”
Aside from the release of their sophomore album and the remix release, the quartet have huge plans for the reminder of the year. HIMALAYAS are back on the road this week, kicking things off with a set at In It Together Festival on Friday (May 24th), followed by a six-date UK headline tour starting May 28th.
