British Rock band Wolf Alice have released their highly anticipated fourth studio album, The Clearing, via Sony Music, accompanied by the shimmering track ‘Just Two Girls.’

Speaking about the new song, vocalist Ellie Rowsell shared: “I was inspired by going for dinner with my friends — a couple of friends, at different times, just one-on-one. I noticed how much I was saying Oh my god yeah you’re so right! And I thought it was so nice to see how validating these conversations with my girlfriends are, how much I’m learning in these chats. I think I’ve been trying to figure out a lot of things, like getting older. I feel it’s really been a strange time of thinking about appearance. And these are things you hash out with your girlfriends and suddenly you don’t feel so shit about them again. I just felt like there deserved to be a song about that.”

Following a compelling trio of singles - ‘Bloom Baby Bloom,’ ‘The Sofa,’ and ‘White Horses’ - Wolf Alice return with their stunning fourth studio album, The Clearing, out now via Sony Music. Each single hinted at a different sonic thread, and now, woven together, they form a record that captures one of the UK’s most emotionally resonant and creatively fearless bands at a moment of true artistic clarity.

Written in Seven Sisters and recorded in Los Angeles with Grammy-winning producer Greg Kurstin, The Clearing is an ambitious, heart-filled collection - a widescreen, pop-rock statement that nods to the classic storytelling of the ’70s while remaining unapologetically modern. If Fleetwood Mac wrote a record in North London in 2025, it might sound something like this: sprawling, intimate, confident, and endlessly replayable.

The album was launched with a landmark release show at The Dublin Castle in Camden, celebrating Wolf Alice’s roots in their native North London. Fans also flocked to an adjacent pop-up event, where they got early access to the album and exclusive merch. Their performance of ‘Bloom Baby Bloom’ on Jimmy Kimmel Live! aired the same morning, offering global audiences a first glimpse at the band’s new chapter.

At its heart, The Clearing is an album about arrival - not at a final destination, but at a rare sense of emotional equilibrium. Whether it’s the self-reflection of ‘Thorns,’ the wistful nostalgia of “Leaning Against The Wall,” or the raw beauty of “Play It Out,” every track maps a point on Wolf Alice’s ongoing evolution. From the euphoric “Bread Butter Tea Sugar” to the gentle resilience of “The Sofa,” the album finds the band fully in command of their voice — vulnerable, confident, and more united than ever.

The Clearing is, without question, Wolf Alice’s most refined and affecting work to date - a landmark record from a band stepping boldly into their next era.
