ACRES UNLEASH NEW SONG FEATURING THE PLOT IN YOU'S LANDON TEWERS

British metal outfit ACRES have announced an extended edition of their acclaimed album The Host, set for release on 26 September via Solid State Records. Acting as both a continuation and a completion of the original record, the expanded version includes three brand-new tracks that further explore the album's emotional and sonic depth.

Leading the charge is the newly released single ‘Push Me Away’, featuring a powerful guest appearance from Landon Tewers, vocalist of The Plot In You.

Speaking on the new single, Acres share, "'Push Me Away' is almost like a confession of self-doubt, a reflection on feeling like you're the weight holding someone back, and believing they'd be better off without you," the band says. "When we wrote this in the studio, we instantly knew this was the song we wanted to have a feature on and we honestly couldn't think of anyone better than Landon. We're so grateful he wanted to be part of this!"

We all face something we can’t outrun — an inescapable presence that takes many forms: a substance, a relationship, a fixation. No matter how destructive it becomes, we keep returning to it… until we’re emptied, and nothing is left.

The metalcore quartet have transformed this deeply human struggle into the driving force behind their aptly titled third full-length album, The Host (out now via Solid State / Tooth & Nail Records). Collaborating with producer and The Plot In You frontman Landon Tewers, the band - Ben Lumber, Alex Freeman, Jack Rogers, and Ash Scott - confront these inner demons with a volatile mix of crushing grooves, hauntingly melodic hooks, and immersive, emotionally charged soundscapes. The result is an unpredictable and compelling record that dives headfirst into the darkest corners of self-destruction.
