American progressive metal heavyweights After The Burial are back with their first new single in over two years, ‘Hum From The Hollow.’ The intense new track delves deep into emotional darkness and reaffirms why the band continues to be a vital force in modern heavy music. Alongside the release, the band has dropped an official visualiser and confirmed their upcoming North American tour supporting We Came As Romans on the Bad Luck headline run.
‘Hum From The Hollow’ is a crushing return to form, fusing the band’s trademark precision—tight, 8-string guitar work and complex rhythms - with lyrical themes of psychological unrest and internal collapse. The result is a dense, technically sharp track that channels existential dread through unrelenting heaviness. It's a stark, powerful statement from a band still pushing boundaries.
Speaking on the new track, founding guitarist Trent Hafdahl explains: “This song is one of many from the new album that have the same theme: pissed off. Sometimes you have to strip it all down and give the fans something to let their anger out to, so that’s what we did here.”
