Leeds alt-rock outfit Artio have announced their forthcoming album Soul Rot, set for release on 21 January 2026 via LAB Records.
Frontwoman Rae Brazill reflects on the record’s direction: “this is the first record I’ve done where I look inwards rather than out, dissecting my own behaviour and how I perceive the world in its liminal state of ending.”
The band recently made their return with the hard-hitting new single ‘The Devil You Know’, featuring acclaimed vocalist Cody Frost. Renowned for their fearless fusion of soaring vocals, electronic textures, and explosive instrumentation, the Gen-Z four-piece deliver one of their boldest statements yet.
Driven by Brazill’s incisive lyricism and the group’s trademark sonic intensity, ‘The Devil You Know’ pushes back against the forces that exploit and diminish artists, reclaiming strength and autonomy through sheer defiance. The track embodies Artio’s unwavering pursuit of authenticity, catharsis, and connection.
On the single, Rae explains that it was “for the bands, for the scene, for the bastards who want to pillage and profit from it, for the ones who need to know that they deserve better.”
