BEARINGS ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM

BEARINGS have released their new single ‘Float Away feat. Derek Discanio’, taken from their brand new album Comfort Company out 7 November 2025 via Pure Noise Records.
"This is one of the first ones we really built out with the drums first. Mike had this great part and we built it out from there. Lyrically, it came together a little later, and there’s some obvious metaphor in there about being lost on things going on in your own life at times. We all need someone to bring us back down to earth sometimes." - Doug Cousins
Speaking about the upcoming record, frontman Doug Cousins said, “Comfort Company is for us the record that feels like coming back home. Some songs we wrote at a cottage together, others came from a basement. They all started somewhere honest and ended up back at the studio where we did our first album in the East End of Toronto. This album was working on music all day, walking to the beer store, then heading back to the windowless studio to relax before reading Kurt Vonnegut and eventually falling asleep on an air mattress. As we worked out what we wanted it to sound like we found ourselves wanting to make music that felt natural to us, something that we knew we’d connect with and be able to spill out on stage when the time came to perform it.”
This November, Bearings will hit the road as direct support for As It Is on their U.S. headline tour, starting November 7, 2025, at Boston’s Brighton Music Hall. The tour will make stops in major cities including New York City, Asbury Park, Chicago, Nashville, and Atlanta, before Bearings launch into their own headline shows later in the month.
