The latest single, ‘Eat My Dust!;, marks a powerful return for the band following the critical acclaim of their debut album, which earned a prestigious nomination for Scottish Album of the Year and fueled a successful string of chart positions, tours, and festival appearances. Guitarist Blair Crichton describes the track as being "written about moving on from negative things in your past, bettering yourself and letting the haters choke on your dust cloud as you pass them."
In this new chapter, the band has intentionally leaned into heavier sonic influences, with Crichton noting that "the drums and guitar have a metalcore vibe to them which is something we want to explore more in the future." After a significant year of growth and change, the band views this single as the definitive declaration of their new direction. As Crichton concludes, "We’ve been through quite a transformational period over the last year and this felt like the perfect mission statement to come out with after some time away from releasing music."
