New York City rock powerhouse DES ROCS has officially announced his third studio album, To Hell and Back, set for release on June 12th through Sumerian Records. This upcoming collection serves as a monumental new chapter, refining his cinematic sensibilities while further expanding the intricate mythos he has meticulously constructed from the onset of his career.
Coinciding with the album reveal, DES ROCS has shared the new single ‘Fall Together,’ a grand, mid-tempo piece that showcases a more controlled yet deeply resonant dimension of his artistry. The track is cinematic in every sense, featuring a dynamic arrangement that breathes alongside the lyrics, further bolstered by a sweeping string section. Danny Rocco delivers a standout vocal performance that balances commanding presence with raw vulnerability, signaling a move toward nuanced storytelling without losing any of his signature grandeur.
“Sometimes you find yourself stuck in a place where no matter what you do, you’re gonna lose,” shares Rocco. “This song’s about that dead-end feeling, when both roads lead to the same place. Nothing good. It’s a heavy one, but it’s a real part of the story of this album. I hope this song can help those navigating those tough roads we have to travel in this thing called life.”
To Hell and Back is supported by a series of high-profile singles that have already established the album's widescreen atmosphere. The breakout hit "The Juice" initially propelled DES ROCS into the Rock Radio Top 10 with its gritty riffs and blues-infused swagger, eventually landing a spot in a national Nissan campaign. He maintained this momentum with "This Land," an arena-caliber anthem chosen as the theme for Borderlands 4, which secured his second Top 10 position. Other tracks like "When The Love Is Gone" have garnered significant critical acclaim, with Rock Sound noting the song “embodies everything that is sensational about rock and roll.” Most recently, the mythic, slow-burning surprise release "The Riders of Red Hook (Legends Never Die)" gained massive exposure during the UFC 326 broadcast of Holloway vs. Oliveira.
“This record is about anyone who’s ever been knocked down and gotten back up,” explains Rocco. “It’s for the people who keep goin’, even when it feels like the world’s against them. To Hell and Back is for the fighters, the dreamers and the survivors. This record is the culmination of everything I've ever done. It's all those years of struggle wrapped up into one sonic battle cry. None of this music would've been possible without riding the roller coaster of tryin’ to make it in a band outta NYC.”
