English singer‑songwriter dodie has officially announced her second solo album, Not For Lack Of Trying, due for release on 3 October 2025. The record follows her 2021 debut Build A Problem and her work with indie-pop collective FIZZ on their 2023 project The Secret To Life.
Alongside the announcement, dodie has unveiled a striking new single, ‘I Feel Bad For You, Dave’ via Decca Records. The new song follows her last single ‘I’M FINE!’, her first solo track in over three years released in June.
‘I Feel Bad For You, Dave’ lands as a fiery response to online abuse, inspired by dodie witnessing a close friend suffer racist abuse on social media. “I did not know what to do I wanted to just drag them down, I wanted to reply to them and make videos about them,” dodie explains. “And I was like, ‘OK, I can't do any of that, so I'll just write a song.’”
The singer will grace the stage at London’s Roundhouse on Monday, 24 November 2025, marking her return to solo performances after a few years away.
