For those who love the full community experience, the Campsite Gates open early on Wednesday, 10th June 2026, at 12:00 PM for 5-Night camping ticket holders. This allows plenty of time to pitch tents and head over to District X for early entertainment.

2026 Lineup Highlights & Stage Shakes-Ups
The 2026 edition features an incredible distribution of heavy hitters across four main stages over the three arena days.
Friday 12 June
The festival kicks off in massive fashion with Limp Bizkit headlining the Apex Stage. They are preceded by an eclectic mix of rap-metal royalty Cypress Hill, electronic-core party starters Electric Callboy, drum and bass legends Pendulum, alongside Hollywood Undead, P.O.D., and Scene Queen.
Over on the Opus Stage, rock powerhouses Halestorm and Daughtry take the top spots, supported by Periphery and Creeper.
The Avalanche Stage is topped by UK indie-rock veterans Feeder and Story of the Year, while the extreme metal-focused Dogtooth Stage sees a special Sepultura performance headlining the tent.
Electric Callboy will be bringing their high-energy, neon-soaked madness to Friday's Apex Stage.
Saturday 13 June
Classic rock and heavy metal take center stage on Saturday, with the legendary Guns N' Roses headlining the Apex Stage. Sharing the main stage before them are metal titans Trivium, the returning force of Babymetal, and Black Veil Brides, with support from Landmvrks and South Arcade.
The Opus Stage brings a heavier edge with Architects headlining, flanked by extreme metal legends Behemoth and alternative mainstays Bush.
Pop-punk fans can flock to the Avalanche Stage to see The All-American Rejects and Hot Milk, while death metal fans will find their home at the Dogtooth Stage under the command of Blood Incantation and Decapitated.
Manchester power-pop-punk outfit Hot Milk will bring their explosive hooks and chaotic stage presence to the Avalanche Stage on Saturday afternoon.
Sunday 14 June
Closing out the weekend is a momentous headline set from Linkin Park on the Apex Stage. The final day's main stage also features highly anticipated sets from Bad Omens, theatrical metallers Ice Nine Kills, and The Pretty Reckless, with early support from Bloodywood and Ho99o9.
The Opus Stage goes out with a bang as A Day To Remember headlines alongside progressive metal powerhouses Mastodon and a special appearance by guitar icon Tom Morello.
The Avalanche Stage takes an energetic left turn with electronic-techno legends Scooter headlining above Letlive and Ash, while Static-X wraps things up with an industrial metal party headlining the Dogtooth Stage.
Marking a historic and deeply anticipated moment for the festival, iconic rock titans Linkin Park will take their rightful place headlining the main stage on Sunday night.
Travel & Transport
When travelling by car, do not rely solely on your SatNav due to complex local traffic diversions. Follow the official physical yellow event signs as soon as you hit the M1, A50, or A453. Car parking must be pre-booked, as your pass will dictate whether you route into the North, West, or South parking lots. Be prepared for a substantial walk over hilly grass terrain from the cars to the campsites.
If you choose to take public transport, catching the train is highly recommended. The closest mainline station is East Midlands Parkway. Dedicated festival shuttle buses run continuously from East Midlands Parkway, Derby, Leicester, and Nottingham stations directly to the festival’s East Entrance transport hub from Wednesday morning right through until Monday mid-day.
Rules, Restrictions, & Packing Tips
Download maintains incredibly strict security boundaries between the campsites and the Main Arena. The bag policy states that all bags brought into the Main Arena must be smaller than A4 size (30cm x 21cm x 8cm), standard hiking backpacks will be strictly turned away at the arena barrier, though they are fine for the initial trek into the campsites.
Alcohol is permitted in the campsites (up to 24 cans of beer/cider and 1 litre of spirits per person) but is strictly banned from being brought into the Main Arena. Most importantly, Download operates a strict no-glass policy across the entire site, everything must be decanted into plastic bottles before arrival. Furthermore, the event is completely cashless, so you will need a debit card or smartphone payment method for all on-site food, drinks, and merchandise.
