HAYLEY WILLIAMS UNVEILS NEW SONG
Paramore frontwoman Hayley Williams has released her first solo material since 2021, debuting a brand-new track titled ‘Mirtazapine’ on Nashville’s WNXP radio station. A nod to the antidepressant of the same name, the track - clocking in at just over three minutes - leans into ‘90s shoegaze textures.
The artwork accompanying Hayley Williams’ newly debuted solo track ‘Mirtazapine’ hints at more to come, teasing an unreleased B-side titled ‘Glum.’ No official release date has been announced for either track. So far, Williams’ only nod to the new material has been a cryptic Instagram Story showing a blurry image of a mirtazapine pill bottle, along with a message urging fans to support Nashville’s WNXP radio - currently facing budget threats tied to federal funding cuts under the Trump administration.
Williams first hinted at a return to her solo career following Paramore’s run of massive stadium dates alongside Taylor Swift. On her 36th birthday at the start of 2025, she took to social media with a cryptic but hopeful message: “I’m going to try and finally play some shows next year that would’ve happened nearly 5 years ago now. That is, if the world doesn’t fucking stop before then.”
