MOTHER VULTURE SHARE NEW SINGLE ALONGISDE ALBUM ANNOUNCEMENT
Hot on the heels of their acclaimed January release ‘Slow Down’, MOTHER VULTURE return with their latest sonic punch: ‘Treadmill.’ The track marks a thrilling evolution for the band, fusing their trademark brand of frantic, chaotic speed-rock with the darker themes and sonic textures of their newer material. Relentless in both sound and sentiment, ‘Treadmill’ hurtles forward with unyielding energy, paired with a DIY music video that cheekily features the titular gym equipment in all its metaphorical glory.
Talking about the length of the song, drummer Matt West shared: “It’s right at the limit of my physical ability. We were writing it in the practice room, and it felt great but when we went to the studio to track the final version it suddenly felt super quick. I asked for the bpm to be taken back 5, but it still felt way too fast. But we just persevered and we got the take. I found out later that Brodie (guitar) had asked the engineer to put it up by 10. It ended up something like 30 bpm quicker than the demo!”
‘Treadmill’ is being self-released, continuing MOTHER VULTURE’s unwavering DIY spirit and grassroots ethos that have defined their journey so far. It marks the second single from their newly announced upcoming album Cartoon Violence, set for release on 15 January 2026. Available for pre-order here.
To celebrate the album’s arrival, MOTHER VULTURE will host a special release party at The Phoenix in Exeter on 31 January - a night that promises chaos, energy, and full-throttle celebration in true MOTHER VULTURE fashion.
