MOTÖRHEAD ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM

Metal legends Motörhead have announced Killed By Deaf - A Punk Tribute To Motörhead, released on 31 October 2025. On the blistering new tribute album, Killed By Deaf, the punk spirit is celebrated loud and clear. Across 14 ferocious tracks, some of punk rock’s most iconic names - Rancid, Pennywise, Lagwagon, GBH, The Bronx, FEAR and hungry newcomers Slaughterhouse - deliver their own adrenaline-fueled takes on Motörhead classics.
While Motörhead’s influence on metal is undisputed, their impact on punk, especially the post-Sex Pistols second wave, runs just as deep. Hundreds, even thousands of punk bands were made faster, louder, and meaner because of Motörhead. And that’s because, at their core, Motörhead were a punk band in spirit.
As Lemmy once put it: “The punks loved us. The only reason we weren’t in that lot was because we had long hair, so obviously we must be heavy metal. That was the thinking. But a lot of kids heard us without seeing a picture, so they thought we were a punk band.”
And it’s no accident that Lemmy and Motörhead are enshrined in the Punk Rock Museum in Las Vegas. Long before they covered the Sex Pistols' “God Save The Queen,” and long before penning “R.A.M.O.N.E.S.” as a love letter to New York’s finest, Motörhead were sharing stages - and chaos - with the likes of The Damned.
In fact, Lemmy even played with The Damned (briefly renamed The Doomed), joining them onstage and in the studio for what are now legendary moments in punk lore. Fittingly, the only non-Motörhead track on Killed By Deaf is a previously unreleased, face-melting 2002 version of “Neat Neat Neat”, Lemmy and The Damned, reunited one last time.
