MUNA RETURN WITH NEW SONG AND ALBUM ANNOUNCEMENT

After three years of solo explorations, highlighted by Katie Gavin’s debut What A Relief, MUNA is officially back. The trio has announced their fourth studio album, Dancing On The Wall, set for release this May.
The title track and lead single, out today, captures the band's signature blend of vulnerability and high-energy synth-pop. Produced by the band's own Naomi McPherson, the new single explores the bittersweet transition from fantasy to reality.
In a statement, the band shared: "'Dancing On The Wall' is possibly our favorite song we've made as a band. We think it's all the best parts of MUNA - it's coming from a really emotional and lonely place, but the song itself makes us feel powerful and euphoric. It's written in the moment that the clock strikes midnight at the ball, and you have to give up the fantasy. In this case, it’s the fantasy of loving someone or something that can't love you back."
The band describes the track as the "midnight at the ball" moment, the exact point where you must let go of a one-sided love and face the truth.
To mark the album's arrival, MUNA will head across the Atlantic for a series of intimate release shows in Los Angeles, New York and London.
