ONLY THE POETS DROP NEW SONG

English alternative-indie band Only The Poets have dropped their latest single ‘Emotionally Hungover’, out today via Capitol Records. This marks a bold step forward in the band’s evolving sound. Co-written by frontman Tommy Longhurst alongside alt-pop heavyweights Matt Rad and Janeva, and produced by DanDlion with contributions from the band’s own Marcus Yates and Clem Cherry, the track fuses raw lyrical vulnerability with the sweeping scale of arena-ready production.

Only The Poets - made up of frontman Tommy Longhurst, bassist Andy “Roo” Burge, guitarist Clem Cherry, and drummer Marcus Yates - have quickly risen to become one of the UK’s most exciting emerging live acts. Staying independent until early 2023, the band embraced a DIY approach, starting out at student house parties and pub gigs before scaling up to sold-out shows in 1,600-capacity venues across the UK and Europe last year.
