PALEFACE SWISS kicked off 2025 with a bang, dropping their breakthrough album Cursed and quickly following it with CURSED – The Complete Edition, featuring the brand-new track ‘I Am A Cursed One’. After a whirlwind year touring Europe, the U.S., Australia, and Mexico - selling over 35,000 tickets in the States alone - the band wastes no time returning with their next release. And with a massive European run ahead, stretching from Ireland to Spain alongside Stick To Your Guns, the momentum shows no signs of slowing down.

It was during their joint U.S. tour that Zelli and Jesse Barnett sat down to write together, birthing ‘Instrument Of War’. Recorded in the studio with manager/producer Marco Bayati and mixed by longtime friend Florent Salfati (Landmvrks), the track delivers the unmistakable PALEFACE SWISS punch while blending seamlessly with Barnett’s iconic voice. The collaboration’s raw energy demanded a visual companion, and the result is the striking video that accompanies the single.

The title 'Instrument Of War' was inspired by a Pablo Picasso quote that Jesse Barnett shared with the band during tour: “No, painting is not done to decorate apartments. It is an instrument of war for attack and defense against the enemy.” This quote became the foundation of a cohesive concept of song and video, brought to life by the band’s manager and director Kriss Jakob. The track also carries a strong charity message: 100% of the proceeds will be donated to charitable causes.

Zelli and Jesse commented: "We both felt like we related to this quote. Our music isn’t just some shit to put on in the background. It’s something real that comes from a real place and it’s meant to attack the things that divide us and defend all the things that bring us together.”

Staying true to the spirit behind the track, 100% of the proceeds from Instrument of War will be donated to Doctors Without Borders, supporting their vital emergency medical work in conflict zones worldwide. To further amplify the cause, a limited-edition Instrument of War charity shirt is available now at Palefaceswiss.com, with all profits going directly to the organization.

Zelli and Jesse continue: “Paleface Swiss has generally avoided taking explicit political positions—especially given how complex things are today. But Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) provides care to people affected by conflict, disease outbreaks, natural and human-made disasters, and mental health crises. That kind of direct, human-first action is something we deeply respect.”

“That said, both Stick To Your Guns and Paleface Swiss share clear values. As we mentioned, we stand for what’s right—whether that means supporting mental health (a core focus for Paleface Swiss) or speaking out against oppression and violence. For those who know our bands, this song already carries those messages. That’s why it felt like the right vehicle for something bigger—and why it made sense to use it to give back.”
