UK-based PRESIDENT, whose music has garnered multi-million streams, operates at a unique intersection of heavy music, electronic experimentation, and cinematic atmosphere. By refusing to conform to traditional genre structures or identity, the project prioritizes artistic intent over image. Today marks a significant milestone as PRESIDENT issues the first new music of 2026 with the single ‘ANGEL WINGS,’ a stunningly transcendent and richly layered track that represents the next step in their sonic evolution through a blend of alt-rock, industrial beats, and dynamic breakdowns.
Regarding the thematic weight of the new release, the artist explains, ‘‘‘Angel Wings' reflects a search for spiritual redemption and the resolve to begin again. It marks the opening of a new chapter. At its core, the song speaks to holding close those who matter most, while remaining unmoved by detractors." This single is a pivotal moment for the project, serving as the debut release under a new partnership with Atlantic Records.
Since launching in 2025 under a cloak of minimalism and anonymity, PRESIDENT has cultivated intense intrigue. The project has already earned widespread critical acclaim, with Metal Hammer stating that "President are on their way to winning a landslide victory over metal," while Kerrang! hailed them as "a new leader to take heavy music into a glorious new age." Rock Sound further solidified this reputation by naming them the "breakout metal success of 2025."
Designed to be discovered rather than sold, PRESIDENT seeks to exist outside the frantic pace of the modern scene. In a cover feature for Revolver, the artist expressed a desire to move away from the industry's "fast fashion" mentality, stating, "the music industry has elements of fast fashion to it these days. Things just come and go. Everything's really quick. Everyone's shouting for attention, and there's just so much noise, and it just becomes a fucking conveyor belt. [We] wanted to step back and not be a part of that. But if people are interested, and they want to enter into this world, we'll grab them with open arms."
Fans will have several opportunities to witness this world firsthand as PRESIDENT kicks off a North American tour this weekend, opening for Bad Omens and Beartooth. Following these dates, the project will return to the UK and Europe in the spring for a series of select festival appearances and a headline tour that has already completely sold out.
