Rise Against have unleashed the title track and final preview of their long-awaited new album, Ricochet, set for release this Friday, 15 August via Loma Vista Recordings. Marking their first full-length in four years, the 12-track record arrives in a climate thick with misinformation, unrelenting greed, and growing cruelty - yet Rise Against stand firm as a guiding voice of artful defiance. Ricochet captures the urgency of the times with some of the band’s most intense, impassioned, and far-reaching work to date - a collection of thunderous, emotionally charged rock anthems that confront chaos head-on, grounded in global awareness and moral clarity.

At the heart of the title track - and the album itself - is a message of interconnection amidst an era defined by division and nationalism. “We rely on each other, whether we like it or not,” says frontman Tim McIlrath.“Everything that you do will affect somebody. We’re connected to other countries and other economies; we’re connected to undocumented immigrants. We’re connected to every decision that our leaders make. We are not as isolated as we think. What we do, good or bad, creates one big ricochet effect.”

The song itself opens with a haunting blend of drum machine and acoustic guitar, before launching into a towering anthem true to Rise Against’s legacy. Paired with a visceral performance video contrasting themes of self-absorption and self-destruction, ‘Ricochet’ sets the tone for the album.

Produced by GRAMMY®-winner Catherine Marks (Boygenius, Foals, Manchester Orchestra, St. Vincent) and mixed by the legendary Alan Moulder (Nine Inch Nails, Paramore, Queens of the Stone Age, The Killers), Ricochet masterfully weaves introspection with incendiary energy, offering a soundtrack of resistance that’s both pointed and deeply human. Without tipping into sanctimony, the album chronicles a world on the brink - examining our collective unraveling while holding onto the hope for real, lasting change.
