SILO UNVEIL THIRD SINGLE

The nu-gaze collective Silo have officially unveiled ‘Forget It’ today, marking the third single to be lifted from their highly anticipated debut studio album, Haze, which is scheduled for arrival on May 1st through Easy Life Records.

Having originated on the Isle of Man, the band’s identity is heavily defined by their unique geography; they successfully transmute the stillness and geographic distance of their upbringing into a musical output that is direct, confrontational, and profoundly human.

The new track "Forget It" serves as a stark and uncompromising reaction to emotional manipulation, functioning as both a cathartic release and a definitive boundary. Powered by precision-heavy rhythms and a sharp, cutting vocal delivery, the song masterfully captures the moment where simmering frustration hardens into firm resolve, successfully channeling internal aggression into an outward expression that is focused and entirely unshakeable.

This latest offering arrives in the wake of the band's previous singles, "Crawl In A Bottle" and "Ill Intent," providing a further look into a debut record that is deeply anchored in themes of clarity, resilience, and an unwavering sense of self-belief.

Discussing the inspiration behind the new single, Silo vocalist Kriss Maguire shares, “Forget it is a blunt response to emotional manipulation. It is both a release and a message, drawing a boundary after being used. The aggression here is purposeful, with tight rhythms and direct lines that reflect frustration turning into resolve. Forget it is an external expression of internal aggression.”

The debut album from Silo, titled Haze, serves as a visceral document of internal collapse, the grit of survival, and the weight of uneasy acceptance. Developed through a collective writing process in the same room rather than being pieced together in isolation, the record prioritizes the capture of spontaneous moments, favoring instinct over meticulous refinement and raw emotion over polished perfection. Throughout its thirteen tracks, the album explores the cyclical nature of addiction, disillusionment, therapy, love, loss, and the shifting nature of identity, intentionally avoiding easy resolutions in favor of brutal honesty.

The recording process took place over just seven days at The Ranch Production House with producer Kel Pinchin, known for work with Split Chain, Thornhill, and As It Is. This condensed timeline allowed Haze to retain a raw immediacy that mirrors the high-stakes intensity of Silo’s live performances. Within the production, thick, distorted guitars frequently collide with subtle melodic undercurrents, creating a soundscape where moments of aggression exist right beside quiet restraint, and tension often builds without ever finding a traditional release. It is a body of work designed to be felt physically as much as heard, maintaining a deep emotional resonance throughout.

Emerging from their geographic isolation with a clear sense of purpose, Silo are not interested in chasing fleeting trends or local scenes. Haze represents the sound of a band pushing outward from a quiet, secluded place, refusing to soften their sharp edges and ultimately discovering a sense of clarity within the surrounding noise.
