STATE FAYRE ANNOUNCE EXCITING 2026 LINE-UP

Festival Republic and Live Nation have announced State Fayre, a brand-new major weekend camping festival celebrating rock music, Americana and barbecue, taking place 26–28 June 2026 in Chelmsford, Essex. Set to become the UK’s largest music and barbecue festival with a capacity of around 30,000, the event will feature headline performances from Kings Of Leon, Neil Young and The Chrome Hearts, and The Lumineers. They’ll be joined across the weekend at Hylands Park by The Black Crowes, Elvis Costello & The Imposters with Charlie Sexton, Counting Crows, Amble, Kingfishr, Dylan Gossett, Sierra Ferrell, Max McNown, KT Tunstall, The Coral, and many more.

General tickets go on sale at 9AM on Friday 28 November via statefayre.com.

Bringing a true taste of Americana to the UK, State Fayre blends rock, country and folk with the flavours and culture of American state fairs—long summer nights, tailgate traditions and a celebration of music, food and community.

Kings of Leon will headline the opening night, marking the first edition of State Fayre with one of the most influential alternative rock bands of the past two decades. With nine studio albums and over 20 million records sold worldwide, the multi-Grammy and BRIT Award winners have headlined global festivals including Coachella, Glastonbury, Roskilde and numerous Lollapaloozas.

Neil Young and The Chrome Hearts will perform as part of the newly announced UK and European leg of the Love Earth World Tour, beginning 19 June 2026 in Manchester. The lineup features Spooner Oldham, Micah Nelson, Corey McCormick, Anthony LoGerfo and Neil Young.

Founded in 2005 by Wesley Schultz and Jeremiah Fraites, The Lumineers have become one of the most successful bands of their generation, blending alternative rock, Americana and emotive storytelling. With 24 #1 hits, more than 6 billion streams and 22 million monthly Spotify listeners, they’ll close the festival on Sunday with their renowned high-energy live show.

The Black Crowes will bring their raw, soulful rock and roll to the festival following a triumphant reunion in 2019 and an international touring resurgence.

Elvis Costello & The Imposters with Charlie Sexton will showcase Costello’s genre-spanning artistry, backed by longtime collaborators Steve Nieve, Pete Thomas and Davey Faragher.

Counting Crows, celebrated for more than two decades of heartfelt, immersive rock music and over 20 million records sold, also join the lineup.

Additional artists across the weekend include Amble, Avery Anna, Bec O’Malley, Buffalo Traffic Jam, Caroline Grace, Dylan Gossett, DUG, Kingfishr, Kip Moore, KT Tunstall, Max McNown, Muireann Bradley, Nina Nesbitt, Sierra Ferrell and The Coral.

Festivalgoers can fully dive into the world of Americana throughout the weekend. The UK’s premier BBQ festival, FUME, co-founded by social media personality EatingWithTod, will host The FUME Pit, showcasing award-winning pitmasters, top-tier vendors, live demos and the UK’s largest BBQ cages.

Alongside three stages of live music, State Fayre will offer vegetarian and vegan food traders, culinary talks and demos, whiskey tastings, craft beer and cocktail bars, non-alcoholic options, boutique camping, and classic state fair rides and activities.

Organisers Anna-Sophie Mertens and Alex Simmonds of Live Nation said: “We are thrilled to unveil a brand new camping festival that builds on the phenomenal UK growth in Americana, rock and country over the past few years. We’re so excited to present this music in an immersive outdoor setting complete with the authentic food, activities and big open skies of an American state fair.”
