At their 15-year milestone, BABYMETAL delivers a statement of intent with METAL FORTH, meaning "beyond metal" - a sonic affirmation that their kawaii-metal identity can thrive well beyond the usual boundaries of genre classification. Released via Capitol Records on 8 August 2025, the album stakes their claim as metal globalists, stretching their sound into daring territories with bold collaborations, including Poppy, Spiritbox, Slaughter to Prevail, Electric Callboy, Bloodywood, Polyphia, Tom Morello, and more.

Japanese kawaii metal powerhouse BABYMETAL have released a brand new single titled ‘Kon! Kon!' featuring Indian metal sensation Bloodywood. It's the fifth release from their upcoming album METAL FORTH, set to arrive on 8 August via Capitol Records.

Early on in their career, BABYMETAL broke records for being the youngest band to play all sorts of festivals and venues in Japan such as Summer Sonic and Budokan. Later on, they became notable further afield for being the first Japanese act to play a number of festivals and venues worldwide, including in the UK where they were the first Japanese act to headline Wembley and play on a main stage at Glastonbury festival.
