TAKEDOWN FESTIVAL 2026 ANNOUNCE STAGE SPLITS

The award-nominated independent rock and metal powerhouse, Takedown Festival, has today officially revealed the stage splits for its highly anticipated 2026 edition.

Returning to the Portsmouth Guildhall on Friday, April 3rd, and Saturday, April 4th, the festival is set to deliver another heavyweight weekend of alternative, rock, and metal talent to the south coast.

In addition to the stage breakdowns, organizers have confirmed a fresh wave of talent joining the lineup. Leading the new announcement are Leeds-based alt-rock misfits Artio, arriving on the heels of their acclaimed debut album Soul Rot, alongside the rising nu-grunge quartet Overgrown. The bill is further bolstered by the addition of Carsick, Pave, Vexed, Wall, and King Kraken.

Friday’s Main Kerrang! Stage will be under the command of Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons, who are set to ignite the crowd with decades of hard-rock firepower during a special Motörhead set. Setting the pace earlier in the day are heavy hitters The Wildhearts, South Of Salem, and Kill The Lights.

The intensity surges on Saturday as the Main Stage welcomes a diverse array of talent including Wargasm, As It Is, Mouth Culture, Vower, Lastelle, Zetra, and Artio. These acts will pave the way for a historic closing set from President, marking the masked collective’s first-ever festival headline performance.

Beyond the main stage, the festival offers a deep dive into sub-genres across the site:

The Total Rock Stage: Headlined by the heavy riffs of Gnome and the high-octane energy of The Hara.

The Metal For Good Stage: Topped by alt-rock veterans InMe and the ferocious Graphic Nature.

Reflecting on the 2026 vision, Kai and Sarah Harris of Takedown Festival Ltd stated: “We’re pleased to share this year’s stage splits, highlighting a strong and diverse lineup across all stages. We are very proud of the 2026 edition and can’t wait to see everyone having a great time. See you in the pit!”
