TEN56. UNVEIL SOPHOMORE ALBUM

French heavy-hitters ten56. have unleashed their brand new album IO - a sonic wrecking ball of a record, built on raw emotion, personal trauma, and relentless aggression. The highly anticipated follow-up to their pulverising debut Downer sees the band push even further into darker, more calculated territory, evolving their sound into something more refined, more volatile, and undeniably more dangerous. With IO, ten56. cement their status as a rising juggernaut in modern metal.

Speaking on the release, the band shares: "We are both excited and, let's say, relieved to deliver this record. It explores yet uncharted territories for us as a band and encapsulates a period in time for us all on a personal level; a period of difficulty and resilience, hardships and growth. We hope this transparency comes through in these tracks, and touches our listeners but old and new.

"We've put so much of ourselves into this record and it only exists thanks to those who have taken the time to dip their toes into our universe. This is IO. We love you, and we will see you all soon, wherever you are."

To celebrate the release of IO, ten56. have dropped a brand new music video for their latest single ‘Snapped Neck’. One of the most melodic tracks the band has written to date, Snapped Neck fuses Aaron Matts’ haunting vocal melodies with the band’s trademark brutality, resulting in a track that’s as emotionally resonant as it is sonically devastating. The contrast creates a chilling, almost cinematic atmosphere - unsettling, beautiful, and utterly relentless.

On the new single, Aaron Matts comments: "This track is particular, in the way that it bounces back and forth between confrontational, almost egotistical anger and total vulnerability; we knew that in order to portray this inner battle, that we needed to explore new sounds and vocal atmospheres. This track does a good job of portraying the mental gymnastics that IO tries to encapsulate. We hope you guys feel it."
