TIM HENSON RELEASES SOLO TRACK

Genre-defying guitarist and visionary Tim Henson unveils ‘Original Sin,’ his first fully self-produced solo single, released alongside an accompanying music video and the official launch of his forthcoming clothing brand of the same name.

Renowned for redefining modern instrumental music with Polyphia, the release marks the first time Henson has independently produced, mixed, and shaped every element of a project from start to finish.

Initially conceived on keyboard and rooted in synth-driven textures, ‘Original Sin’ took on a new life as Henson channeled the ideas through his nylon-string guitar—an instrument he hasn’t placed at the forefront since Polyphia’s enigmatic ‘Playing God.’ The result is a track that feels both invigorating and subversive, intentionally bending form and defying expectation.

Speaking on the release, Tim Henson explains: “‘Original Sin’ started as something digital with synths and keys, but once I translated it to my nylon-string guitar, everything clicked. I wanted to play with contradiction: a waltz that feels like it’s driving forward, something elegant but uncomfortable. Conceptually, it’s about choice. If you’re forced to do the right thing, it doesn’t mean anything. That idea - freedom, temptation, consequence - is something I’ve been thinking about a lot.”

Framed less as a moral statement and more as a metaphor, the title ‘Original Sin’ explores creation as an act of agency, where meaning exists only because choice does. These ideas extend beyond the music itself, with the accompanying video visually reinforcing the same philosophical tensions. Henson’s forthcoming clothing brand, also titled Original Sin, serves as a high-end, complementary creative extension of the release—merging elevated design with the same meticulous attention to detail that defines his music.

While Polyphia remains a central focus heading into 2026, ‘Original Sin’ offers a rare, unfiltered glimpse of Henson as a solo artist. With millions of followers across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, his influence reaches far beyond the guitar world, bridging music, philosophy, culture, fashion, and innovation.
