Britain’s premier rock star and Grammy Award-winner YUNGBLUD, has officially unveiled the highly anticipated second instalment of his powerhouse concept album, Idols. Scheduled for digital release on February 20, 2026, through Island Records/Locomotion, the new record introduces six fresh tracks and includes the Grammy-nominated collaboration with The Smashing Pumpkins on ‘Zombie.’ Building on the massive momentum of its predecessor, the 28-year-old artist has also named ‘Suburban Requiem’ as the lead single for this new era.
Reflecting on the creative evolution of the project, Yungblud describes this second chapter as a narrative of survival and self-actualization. While the first part of the Idols journey focused on reclaiming his identity from a place of profound darkness, this sequel celebrates the realization of being alive and resilient. He explains that the music captures the sense of invincibility that comes from truly feeling like oneself and acknowledging the simple, powerful reality of every breath and heartbeat.
For fans of physical media, the digital launch will be followed later this year by several collectible editions currently available for pre-order. These include a store-exclusive Idols (Complete) 180g 2LP audiophile vinyl and CD set, which compiles all 19 tracks from both volumes of the project. Additionally, a standalone Idols II vinyl will be released on silver transparent wax featuring brand-new cover artwork.
This announcement cements what has been a landmark era for British rock. The original Idols LP debuted in June 2025 and secured Yungblud’s third consecutive UK Number One, earning praise from Kerrang! for its sonic evolution and from The Telegraph for its soaring, theatrical melodies. The Yorkshire-born musician continued his record-breaking streak in November 2025 with One More Time, a collaborative project that gave the legendary Aerosmith their first-ever UK Number One album.
The artist’s global influence was further validated at the 68th Annual Grammy Awards earlier this month. Yungblud took home the trophy for Best Rock Performance for his rendition of "Changes" alongside Nuno Bettencourt and Frank Bello. By securing three nominations in the rock categories in a single year, he has made history as the first British artist to achieve such a feat. Fans will soon experience the new music in person during his sold-out UK arena tour this April, which is set to conclude with a massive headline performance at London’s O2 Arena on April 24, 2026.
