MOTIONLESS IN WHITE CELEBRATE 20 YEARS WITH NEW STUDIO ALBUM

Scranton, Pennsylvania’s very own platinum-selling metal powerhouse, Motionless In White, have officially unveiled their highly anticipated new studio album, DECADES, out today via Roadrunner Records. To celebrate the arrival of the full-length record, the band has simultaneously dropped a brand-new lyric video for their heavy-hitting focus track, ‘Fight Like Hell.’
Reflecting on the monumental milestone, frontman Chris Motionless shared his deep emotional connection to the new music: "I can't believe it's finally the day to release DECADES into the world," says singer Chris Motionless. "No other record means as much to me personally as this one does. The past two-and-a-half years of working on it have been some of the best and most challenging years of my career creatively, but integral to the story of what makes MIW the band that it is. 20 years of nothing but raw determination is what you will find on this record and I'm so grateful for every day we get to keep living our dreams."
Musically, "DECADES stands out as a sprawling sonic journey that features a dynamic and eclectic array of high-profile guest vocalists. Fans will hear prominent appearances from Skylar Grey, Slipknot's Corey Taylor, and Dark Divine's Anthony Martinez, who all lend their unique talents to the record's tracklist. The band brought the new material to life alongside co-producers Drew Fulk and Justin "JD" deBlieck during intensive recording sessions split between Upstate New York and Los Angeles. By blending the heaviest elements of their past with their current musical evolutionary steps and forward-thinking electronic soundscapes, Motionless In White have unified their eras into one definitive, monumental audio statement. Without a doubt, this release captures the group operating at the very peak of their creative powers.
"We were never afraid to take risks," observes Chris. "This band has not only lasted two decades, but we've also outlasted all of the obstacles we've faced. We're still grinding. No matter how far we expand the universe that is Motionless In White, we're going to preserve the heart, soul, and roots of where we came from. We are never going to abandon heartfelt, emotional, and heavy songs. We are never going to abandon what mattered to us the most when we started. We're finding new ways to emphasize those stories with exciting sounds and looks, but the vision is the same. It's always been this grand, dramatic, and theatrical entity. I'm proud we haven't gotten comfortable."
Detailing the musical intensity behind the latest batch of tracks, he finishes, "DECADES is definitely heavier than some of our past albums. Our current world bred more aggressive energy, anger, and resistance."
In addition to dominating the airwaves, Motionless In White officially launched their massive return to the live stage this week by kicking off The Sweat and Blood Tour. The nationwide trek, which is proudly promoted by Live Nation, features an incredibly heavy supporting lineup that includes Lorna Shore, Fit For A King, and Static Dress. This initial summer run stands as the band's first proper North American headlining tour in nearly three years. Having launched on July 14 in Bridgeport, Connecticut, the road trip is slated to stop in major markets like Charlotte, Houston, Austin, Los Angeles, Phoenix, and Oklahoma City. The first leg will eventually wrap up on August 15 in Sterling Heights, Michigan, after making a monumental stop at the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheatre, marking the group’s highly anticipated debut as a venue headliner.
The onslaught doesn't end when the summer concludes, however.
A newly announced second leg of The Sweat and Blood Tour will keep the momentum rolling straight into the fall. For this subsequent run of dates, Dayseeker will be stepping up to provide direct support, while industrial metalcore acts The Devil Wears Prada and Dark Divine will also round out the heavy billing. This autumn leg appropriately launches on the night right before Halloween in Worcester, Massachusetts, and will hit arenas across the country before finally concluding on November 20 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
