NEVERTEL TEAM UP WITH SLEEP THEORY ON NEW SINGLE

Born from four years of creative evolution and personal reinvention, Florida-based trio Nevertel emerge sharper than ever with their new album Start Again, out this Friday 12 September via Epitaph Records. Comprised of Jeremy Michael (vocals), Raul Lopez (producer/rapper), and Alec Davis (guitar), Nevertel delivers a 13-track journey through themes of self-destruction and redemption, all wrapped in a bold fusion of nostalgic nu-metal, rap, and modern alt-rock.

Ahead of the album’s release, the band has dropped its explosive new single, ‘Break The Silence,’ featuring Memphis rock powerhouse Sleep Theory. The collaboration brings together two of the most talked-about names in heavy alt music, colliding in a chaotic, genre-blurring anthem that pushes both acts into new sonic territory.

“‘Break The Silence’ is a song about being fed up with constantly getting taken advantage of, stepped on, and overlooked,” Nevertel discloses. “We all know or have known someone in life that has treated you like crap, made you feel small, or pushed you to the breaking point. When this happens with someone you love, it can be hard to address the problem out of fear you’ll be misunderstood or attacked. You end up in this internal war with yourself asking if it’s even worth it to talk about or not. But just like the song says, sometimes you gotta break the silence and put someone in their place to show them you can’t be cut down anymore. Sometimes the path with resistance is the only way forward, and it’s better to take it than to stay in silence.”

Sleep Theory’s Cullen Moore adds: “Being asked to be a part of writing ‘Break The Silence’ is something that’s extremely special to me. Nevertel is a band that I’ve been a fan of for a very long time and now that we’re good friends with them seems unreal. I love these guys. I love what they do and I love the people that they are. I can’t wait for everyone to hear what we’ve put together because I think it’s exactly what people would expect from a Nevertel x Sleep Theory track.”

Recorded across Los Angeles, Nashville, Memphis, and their home state of Florida, Nevertel’s new album Start Againmarks a pivotal moment in the band’s evolution. Internally produced by Raul Lopez, the record also sees the band collaborating with outside creatives for the first time—bringing in talents like Joshua Landry, Dave Cowell (Sleep Theory), and Gianni Taylor (Bring Me The Horizon). For a band rooted in DIY ethos, the experience was both a creative challenge and a growth opportunity that broadened their musical horizons.

A defining element of Start Again was its unconventional songwriting process. Rather than beginning with melodies or instrumentals, sessions often started with conversations - open dialogues about personal struggles, past triumphs, shared memories, and hopes for the future. This reflective approach allowed the band to dig deeper lyrically and emotionally, crafting songs that are not only sonically bold but thematically rich. The result is an album that mirrors the band’s own journey of self-improvement and rebirth.

Formed in 2014, Nevertel was built on an unbreakable bond and a shared passion for music. From day one, the trio - Jeremy Michael, Raul Lopez, and Alec Davis - have placed quality at the forefront of everything they do. That commitment has earned them over 160 million catalog streams and a growing online community of more than 600,000 social media followers. After years of independent releases - including albums, EPs, and standout singles - Nevertel signed with Epitaph Records in 2024, achieving a long-held dream.
