Multi-platinum, record-breaking powerhouse Shinedown have officially released their highly anticipated new album EI8HT today via Atlantic Records, marking another monumental chapter for a band that continues to redefine themselves and what a modern band can be.

Progressive rock titans Arcane Roots have officially broken cover to announce their biggest headline show to date, set to take place at the spectacular Here at Outernet venue in central London on November 11th, 2026. Elevating this monumental evening even further, the band has curated a stellar supporting lineup featuring two of the UK's most exciting rising acts: Manchester's alternative powerhouse False Advertising and Leeds' innovative newcomers Love Rarely.

Reclus.É is the incendiary and exciting brand new band from Daniel P. Carter and Soren Bryce (Tummyache), and today (Friday May 29th) can announce their signing to Rise/BMG, as well as release their brilliant debut single, 'A Muted TV'. Produced by Dan, Soren and Peter Miles (also mixed by Peter), with drumming from Louis Giannamore.  The single was recorded at Middle Farm Studios and The Black Lodge, this is the first taste from the band's forthcoming debut album.

German alternative metal trio Future Palace have officially revealed details for their upcoming fourth studio album, titled Resurgence, which is set for release on July 31 through Century Media Records. To mark the announcement, the band has also delivered the album’s newest single, ‘Resurge’, paired with an official music video directed by Pavel Trebukhin, who is widely known for his recent visual collaborations with prominent acts like Sylosis and Imminence.

Taking the stage in front of larger-than-life screens, Australian pop-punk titans Tonight Alive rolled into London for a night of pure emotion and nostalgia. "Hope your knees and back are going to be okay," frontwoman Jenna McDougall joked early in the night, eyeing the crowd with mischievous affection. "We’ve got 22 songs on this setlist." And they absolutely delivered.

2026 marks 20 years of Slam Dunk, as well as 10 years of The Key Club Stage and this year was filled with an incredible line-up filled with nostalgic bands (Good Charlotte, A, Dashboard Confessional, Broadside to name a few), festival titans (Bury Tomorrow, Knocked Loose, Malevolence), exciting debuts (Currents, President, The Home Team), viral bands currently on an unstoppable roll (Unpeople) and a tease of what the future may hold (Dead Pony, SiM). Whether you came for the pop-punk/alt rock emo nostalgia, the moshpit heavy titans, or to see what the fuss of the new bands is all about, there was something for everyone! With the amount of rock and metal sub-genres out there, it’s getting increasingly difficult to please everyone; however, I’m happy to say that Slam Dunk managed to deliver yet again a line-up that offers stellar options for any fans.

This year’s edition of The Great Escape kicked off in Brighton on May 13th with a line-up packed full of rising artists across indie rock, pop, electronic, punk and more. Designed as a festival for discovering music, it featured more than 450 emerging artists performing across over 30 venues throughout the city. British indie-rock band The Kooks were forced to withdraw after lead singer Luke Pritchard suffered an injury. Stepping in to open the festival on May 13th were Canadian experimental duo Angine de Poitrine, who drew a huge queue outside the TGE Beach stage, hoping to make it inside the tent. Known for their absurd visuals and costumes, the band delivered a performance that felt like stepping into another world and seemingly captivated the loyal fans at the front. Alongside the official line-up, Brighton also hosted The Alternative Escape, which offered another opportunity to discover more than 150 emerging artists performing for free across venues around Brighton.

The air was warm and buzzy as the sun set on the outskirts of Milan, where thousands of fans dressed in loafers and polka dots gathered to witness Olivia Dean’s first performance in Italy.

On the 7th of May, London’s Scala played host to a hopeful high-voltage political rally filled with moshpits, and good vibes. This was the night Hyphen proved the doubters wrong by selling out the iconic Kings Cross venue, but the journey to that historic finale of his REBEL SCUM TOUR was paved with a super strong line-up of artists who had travelled from all corners of the country - and the globe in the case of MUDRAT. From the unapologetic "top vs bottom" rhetoric of MUDRAT to the joy of Genand the Degenerates and the hybrid one-of-a-kind sound of Native James, this was a manifesto set to a high standard.
